A New Era Begins with İş Bank and Alipay Collaboration
Forex - Türkiye İş Bankası (IS:ISATR) has started accepting the Alipay+ wallet application, which boasts 2 billion users across more than 10 countries, at its POS terminals.
Turkey İş Bankası (IS:ISCTR), which accepts 16 different alternative payment methods at its POS terminals used in over 30 countries worldwide, continues to enhance the diversity and inclusivity of the services offered to its merchant partners. The bank aims to provide foreign tourists with the local payment experience they are familiar with in their home countries.
Having introduced the Alipay wallet application on its virtual POS in 2016 and on physical POS in 2019, İş Bankası has expanded the scope of its collaboration with Alipay. As a result, it has now begun accepting the Alipay+ (AlipayPlus) wallet application at its POS terminals, which is owned by 2 billion users in more than 10 countries.
With this initiative, İş Bankası's merchant partners will now be able to accept payments through various wallet applications in addition to the Alipay payment method, including Naver Pay and Toss Pay from South Korea, Touch’n Go and MyPB from Malaysia, TrueMoney from Thailand, HiPay from Mongolia, GCash from the Philippines, OCBC Digital and Changi Pay from Singapore, and Tinaba from Italy.

Sezgin Lüle, Deputy General Manager of İş Bankası, stated regarding the collaboration that the bank has gone beyond merely meeting financial needs, diversifying payment solutions that simplify customers' daily lives through innovative products and services. We are delighted to expand the Alipay payment method to include the Alipay+ wallet and to offer this service at the physical POS terminals of over 500,000 merchant partners operating in different sectors across our country.
