BIST 100 Kicks Off the Day with Gains: Which Stocks Stood Out at Opening?

The BIST 100 index started the day with an increase of 0.26% at 9,790.96 points. In yesterday's transactions, the index closed the day down by 1.52% at 9,765.12 points. During the day, the index saw a low of 9,754.43 and a high of 9,897.51 points, dropping 150.64 points below its previous close. In dollar terms, the index is priced at 278.45 dollars.

Throughout the day yesterday on Borsa Istanbul, only 3 out of the sectoral and national indices finished the day with gains, while 62 closed lower. Out of the total 100 stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 18 gained value, while 82 lost value. The total transaction volume of the stocks included in the index reached 69.6 billion TL, which constituted 69.10% of the total transaction volume of the stock market.

Borsa Istanbul started the last trading day of the week in positive territory, with the sports, banking, and metal items sector indices leading the gains. The cement, tourism, and paper indices were the sectors that fell the most at the opening.

In general on Borsa Istanbul, MEGAP, AYES, and PEHOL were the stocks that rose the most during the initial transactions. ETILR, DZGYO, and DARDL saw significant declines, dropping to their lower price limits at the opening.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the momentum in the dollar/TL accelerated, with the exchange rate rising by 0.25% to 35.15 in the morning hours. The euro/TL increased more rapidly, now standing at 36.52 with a half-point value increase. Gold per gram also saw a value increase of nearly half a point, climbing to 2,946 TL.

Abroad, Asian indices are preparing to close the week with mixed trends. In yesterday's transactions, European and U.S. indices recorded negative closures. This morning, the futures indices continue to trend negatively.
