IMF Approves Fed's Interest Rate Actions
Foreks - IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack stated that the IMF finds it appropriate for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates and adopt a more cautious outlook, given the high economic uncertainties in the United States. In a regularly held press briefing, Kozack said, "Data from the last few months indicates that the labor market continues to cool, while inflation is slightly higher than expected, but it is still on a downward trend toward the target. In this context, we believe the Fed's move is appropriate."
