Cabinet Meeting of the Presidency Commences
The Cabinet, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, convened at the Presidential Complex. Following Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan's meeting with the leader of Syria's new administration, Ahmad al-Shara, the latest developments in the region are expected to be discussed in the Cabinet.
One of the most crucial topics on the Cabinet's agenda will be the minimum wage. During the meeting, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan will also give a presentation. The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which has held three meetings to date, is expected to conduct its fourth meeting tomorrow or on Wednesday.
The ongoing issues of inflation and exorbitant price increases, which have been on the agenda of every Cabinet meeting recently, are also anticipated to be addressed in this gathering. In particular, potential measures to be taken against possible price hikes following the increase in the minimum wage will be discussed.
Additionally, the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war and other external issues such as the situation in Palestine will also be on the agenda.
