A New Era Begins in Title Deeds: Rental Assistance for Urban Transformation is Increasing
In 2025, rental assistance provided within the framework of urban transformation will be increased to alleviate the burden on citizens. In Istanbul, rental assistance will rise to 8,000 Turkish Lira, while in other major cities, this support will reach 6,500 Turkish Lira. Additionally, the "Digital Building" application will accelerate the digitalization of title deed transactions.
According to the report, real estate expert Mustafa Hakan Özelmacıklı announced the new decisions taken by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change to the public. He stated that rental assistance will be increased in 2025 as part of urban transformation support, revealing that the amount of support in Istanbul has been raised from 5,500 TL to 8,000 TL. In Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, and Izmir, rental assistance will increase from 4,500 TL to 6,500 TL. In other major cities, the amount will rise from 3,750 TL to 5,500 TL, and in other provinces, it will increase from 3,000 TL to 4,500 TL.
Özelmacıklı indicated that tenants could receive payments up to twice these amounts. This will result in a 45% increase in Istanbul compared to last year, and a 50% increase in other provinces. These increases aim to alleviate the financial difficulties faced by citizens during the urban transformation process, allowing for a smoother transition when moving into new homes.
A new era in title deeds
A new era will begin in title deed transactions. Starting from January 1, 2025, it will be mandatory to send three-dimensional digital structure models of architectural projects to title deed offices. The "Digital Building" application, implemented by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (TKGM), will hasten the digitalization of title deed transactions.
With this innovation, the conveniences offered by digitalization will be integrated into the real estate sector, making title deed transactions faster and more efficient. Thanks to the "Digital Building" application, transactions will be carried out based on detailed and three-dimensional models of architectural projects, providing property owners with clearer information about the status of their properties. The application will increase transparency in title deed processes while also saving time and costs.
