Progresiva Energy’s Çorlu Wind Farm and Energy Storage Facility Project Receives "Positive EIA" Decision.
Foreks - The "positive environmental impact assessment" decision has been granted for the Çorlu Wind Power Plant and Energy Storage Facility project of Progresiva Energy, a subsidiary of Kontrolmatik.
The following information was provided in a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit, and Supervision:
"The Environmental Impact Assessment Report submitted to our Ministry regarding the ÇORLU WIND POWER PLANT (50 TURBINES - 250 MWm/250 MWe) AND ENERGY STORAGE FACILITY (1,000 MWh/250 MWe) project, planned to be carried out by PROGRESIVA ENERJİ YATIRIMLARI TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ within the borders of the neighborhoods of Karacakılavuz, Banarlı, Osmanlı in Süleymanpaşa District and Yeşilsırt, Aydınköy neighborhoods in Muratlı District of TEKİRDAĞ province, has been reviewed and evaluated by the Commission for Review and Evaluation of the EIA Report.
In accordance with Article 14 of the EIA Regulation, taking into account the Commission's work and public opinions, our Ministry has granted a 'Positive Environmental Impact Assessment' Decision; and the Tekirdağ Governorship (Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change) is required to announce the decision to the public.
Moreover, it is necessary to comply with the provisions of the regulations that entered into force pursuant to the Environmental Law No. 2872, as well as to obtain the necessary permits from the relevant institutions/organizations in accordance with the applicable legislation."
