As the legacy automakers face increasing challenges from Tesla and Chinese competitors, this consolidation will form the world's third-largest automotive group by vehicle sales, following Toyota and Volkswagen. Honda, Japan's second-largest automaker after Toyota, has a market value of over $40 billion, while third-placed Nissan is valued at approximately $10 billion.
