Istanbul Stock Exchange Decline Continues: Which Stocks Stood Out Today?
The downward trend in the BIST 100 continued today. After starting the day with a decline, the BIST 100 encountered limited buying interest while remaining below the 9,900 level. Towards the close, selling pressure persisted, and the index fell to around 9,770, reflecting a decrease of approximately 1.4%.
Among the sectors dragging the market down today, construction and communication, which fell by 3% in the last hour, along with tourism, were notable. Holding and banking stocks also contributed to the overall market decline with an average drop of 1.5%. As the trading session neared its end on Borsa Istanbul, only the small cap index displayed a slight increase of 0.1%.

Across Borsa Istanbul, the top gaining stocks were CGCAM, DOKTA, and ODINE. On the other hand, CEOEM, DCTTR, and ETILR were among the biggest losers as the day concluded. The SMRVA stock, which began trading yesterday, reached its ceiling price today but experienced fluctuations during the day and started trading around 25 TL with a 3% increase in value.
In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL partially continued its upward momentum, rising by 0.2% to 35.10 in the evening hours. The euro/TL climbed faster, trading at 36.62 with a value increase of 0.6%. Gold per gram is being bought at 2,930 TL after a decline of 1.3%.
In foreign markets, European indices are preparing to close the day in the red. US markets started the day with quick buying interest after yesterday's sharp declines, with initial observations showing an average increase of around 1% in US indices within the first hour.
